The Government of India has been promoting the use of local languages as well as other Indian languages among people. This is being done by conducting various initiatives such as the ‘Vyakarana Vikas Yojana’, ‘Scheme of Endowment and Maintenance of Educational Institutions’, ‘KENDRIYA VIDYALAYA SANKUL’, and so on. In order to promote and encourage proficiency in reading local languages and Indian languages among the youth in general, and especially those aspiring to join the services or educational institutions like colleges, universities, or technical institutions; The Department of Education and Literacy – Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD), Government of India established a new scheme under VACEND-2020. It is called ‘Vocational and Continuing Education New Dimension (VOCNED) Yojana’ to be implemented from October 1st 2020.
What is PMKVY?
